Point Blank is a 1998 direct-to-video independent action film. It was released on December 15, 1998 and directed by Matt Earl Beesely.
It is not to be confused with the 1967 Lee Marvin film Point Blank or the 2010 French film À bout portant (English translation: Point Blank). The title refers to a close range gunshot.
Convicted corporate criminal Howard engineers a prison break as he and a number of fellow inmates are being transferred to a new facility. The escapees, led by Wallace, storm a shopping mall and take a group of shoppers hostage (after killing many more of them) before making their demands. Only Rudy Ray, a former mercenary and brother of one of the fugitives, can take out the criminals before more of the hostages die.
