Pierce Brosnan (born May 16, 1953) is an Irish-American actor, best known internationally as the fifth official actor to portray the title role in the successful James Bond movie franchise in four outings as well as playing the title character on the acclaimed 80s television series "Remington Steele". Brosnan's other select film credits include The Long Good Friday, Taffin, The Lawnmower Man (with Jeff Fahey), Live Wire, Mrs. Doubtfire, the Detonator films, Mars Attacks, Dante's Peak, John McTiernan's 1999 remake of The Thomas Crown Affair, Evelyn, The Matador, Seraphim Falls (with Liam Neeson, Michael Wincott and Xander Berkeley), Mamma Mia!, The Ghost Writer, The World's End and The November Man. Brosnon is set to appear in The Expendables 4, alongside Sylvester Stallone, Jet Li, Randy Couture, Jason Statham, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Wesley Snipes and Dolph Lundgren.
