Jeremy Irons (born September 19, 1948) is an Academy Award-winning English actor who began his acting career on stage in 1969 after receiving classical training at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Irons has appeared in various films including: The Mission (with Liam Neeson and Robert De Niro), The French Lieutenant's Woman, Damage, Dead Ringers, The Lion King, Lolita, Dungeons and Dragons (with Robert Miano), Kingdom of Heaven (again with Neeson, Marton Csokas and Alexander Siddig) and Appaloosa (with Ed Harris, Lance Henriksen and Viggo Mortensen). Irons has two children, Max and Samuel, both of whom have bursted onto the acting scene. He has been married to Sinéad Cusack since 1978.
