Skip Woods

Skip Woods (born December 4, 1970) is an American screenwriter who wrote the story of A Good Day to Die Hard and also wrote uncredited dialogue for John McClane in Live Free or Die Hard. He's credited for A Good Day to Die Hard due to having most of his material from the previous film be reused.

Earlier, he had made his debut writing and directing an off-color crime comedy named Thursday (with Aaron Eckhart, Thomas Jane, Mickey Rourke and Marjean Holden). Three years later, he became well-established for writing the Die Hard-inspired film Swordfish. Woods followed this up with the screenplays for the 2007 video game adaptation Hitman, the 2009 prequel X-Men Origins: Wolverine, 2009's G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (with Channing Tatum and Arnold Vosloo) and the 2010 film version of the TV show The A-Team (with Liam Neeson, Henry Kingi and Thomas Rosales Jr.). His next screenplay was for the gritty action-mystery film Sabotage (with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Max Martini), which was released in the U.S. on March 28, 2014. He also wrote some of 2015's Hitman: Agent 47.
