Tom Berenger (born May 31, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois, USA) is an American actor best known for his leading roles in the Major League and Sniper film franchises (both with Dennis Haysbert) as well as his supporting and leading roles in films such as The Big Chill, Platoon (with Charlie Sheen, Forest Whitaker, Tony Todd, Johnny Depp and Willem Dafoe), The Substitute (with Ernie Hudson and Glenn Plummer), Training Day (with Denzel Washington, Ethan Hawke, Noel Gugliemi and Raymond Cruz) and Christopher Nolan's Inception (with Leonardo DiCaprio, Joseph-Gordon Levitt and Tom Hardy).
Berenger appeared in the Die Hard scenario films Diplomatic Siege, Turbulence 2: Fear of Flying and Brake (among other films), with the first two being heroic roles and the latter role being a shady role.
