Air Force One[]
At the Sheremetyevo International Airport, Bazylev joined alongside Korshunov and the others on the runway posing the Russian TV newsmen to get onboard Air Force One. As they were cleared to go onboard, they were met by Melanie Mitchel, U.S. Deputy Press Secretary who got them onboard. Bazylev sat with Igor Nevsky in the middle section in the middle row seat as the plane took off.
Meanwhile, their Secret Service mole Gibbs killed the agents guarding the armory and threw the smoke grenade to signal them. Korshunov tells his men it's time and Krasin joined the others in the armory as they loaded up. Bazylev armed himself with Heckler & Koch H&K MP5A3 machine gun and puts on a Kevlar vest. After they took control of the conference room, Korshunov sends Bazylev and Nevsky to get President James Marshall. As they down the baggage deck, they we're pinned by the two remaining Secret Service agents. After they killed Agent Johnson, Agent Walters pinned them long enough to get them away from the president. Bazylev kills Agent Walters, but he and Nevsky see the escape pod leaving the plane. Bazylev screams out in anger, thinking the president got away.
Death[]
Bazylev holds President Marshall hostage in the cargo deck. Luckily Marshall is on the phone and is able to communicate a subtle message of code to the white house to order an F-15 fighter jet fire a missile to set off the countermeasure. Since the plane was designed to withstand attack, the shockwave allows Marshall to escape Bazylev's grasp and the two fight.
Bazylev was killed after President Marshall throws him into a glass freezer and puts him in a choke hold, breaking his neck.
